Our 15-year-old daughter is the German federal champion in rope skipping. This December, she has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take on the leading role in an international film project in Ecuador. We need your help to make this happen.

Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich einmal so etwas schreiben würde. Aber meine Tochter hat eine Chance bekommen, die ich nicht einfach ungenutzt lassen kann und alleine können wir sie nicht vollständig finanzieren. Also tue ich das, was mir am schwersten fällt: Ich bitte um Hilfe.
Nelly ist 15 Jahre alt und Bundesmeisterin im Rope Skipping. Dieser Titel ist das Ergebnis jahrelanger Disziplin und Hingabe. Dahinter stecken Jahre voller Training, unzähliger Wiederholungen, Hinfallen und wieder Aufstehen und eine Beharrlichkeit, die ich seit ihrer Kindheit wachsen sehe. Gleichzeitig gehört sie zu den besten Schülerinnen ihrer Schule. Sie hat sich jeden Schritt auf diesem Weg hart erkämpft.

Im Dezember reist Nelly nach Ecuador, um die Hauptrolle in einem internationalen Filmprojekt zu übernehmen, den wir als Familie mit produzieren.
Der Kurzfilm ist das Herzstück dieses Projekts und wird an einigen der atemberaubendsten Naturlandschaften des Landes gedreht. An Orten, die so einzigartig und faszinierend sind, dass sie beinahe unwirklich erscheinen. Einer dieser besonderen Drehorte ist der Äquator, der Mittelpunkt der Erde.
Der Film selbst handelt nicht von Rope Skipping. Doch genau die Eigenschaften, die Nelly durch ihren Sport entwickelt hat, Disziplin, Ausdauer und Präsenz, haben ihr diese außergewöhnliche Möglichkeit eröffnet.
In December, Nelly will travel to Ecuador to take on the leading role in an international short film that our family is helping to produce.
The short film is the heart of this project and will be filmed in some of the country's most breathtaking natural landscapes. In places that are so unique and fascinating that they almost seem unreal. One of these special filming locations is the Equator, the center of the Earth.
The film itself is not about rope skipping. But it is precisely the qualities that Nelly has developed through her sport, discipline, endurance, and presence, that have opened this extraordinary opportunity for her.
En diciembre Nelly viaja a Ecuador para protagonizar un proyecto cinematográfico internacional que coproducimos como familia.
El cortometraje es el corazón de este proyecto y se rodará en algunos de los paisajes naturales más impresionantes del país. En lugares tan únicos y fascinantes que parecen casi irreales. Una de esas locaciones especiales es la línea ecuatorial, la mitad del mundo.
La película en sí no trata sobre rope skipping. Pero son justamente las cualidades que Nelly desarrolló a través de su deporte, disciplina, resistencia y presencia, las que le abrieron esta oportunidad extraordinaria.

Zusätzlich zu den Dreharbeiten werden wir die Reise nutzen, um an einigen der spektakulärsten Orte Ecuadors einzigartige Rope-Skipping-Reels zu produzieren. So entstehen neben dem Kurzfilm besondere Aufnahmen, die Nellys Sport in einer außergewöhnlichen Kulisse zeigen und Menschen auf der ganzen Welt inspirieren sollen.
Für Nelly ist dieses Projekt die Chance, sich auf internationaler Ebene weiterzuentwickeln, an einer professionellen Filmproduktion mitzuwirken und gleichzeitig ihre Leidenschaft für Rope Skipping auf eine ganz besondere Weise mit der Welt zu teilen.
In addition to the filming, we will use the trip to produce unique rope-skipping reels at some of Ecuador's most spectacular locations. Alongside the short film, this will create special footage that showcases Nelly's sport in an extraordinary setting and is meant to inspire people all over the world.
For Nelly, this project is an opportunity to grow on an international level, take part in a professional film production, and at the same time share her passion for rope skipping with the world in a truly special way.

Wir reisen als Familie. Nellys Papa und ich werden die ganze Zeit bei ihr sein. Sie ist erst 15 Jahre alt, daher käme für uns nichts anderes infrage.
It will be two intensive weeks of filming, traveling between different filming locations, following a demanding production schedule, creating the rope-skipping reels, and documenting the entire journey for everyone who follows her.
We are traveling as a family. Nelly's dad and I will be with her the entire time. She is only 15 years old, so nothing else would even be an option for us.
